Kristie is the director of the MFS Eating Disorder Treatment and Recovery Program.
Background:
Kristie earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Communications from the University of Michigan and her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology. She specializes in eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, anxiety, adjustment concerns, trauma and interpersonal struggles. As a former dance teacher and studio director, Kristie has over 10 years of experience working with kids, teens, and families. With her strong humanistic background and numerous evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness-based and positive psychology interventions, Kristie is able to evaluate each client where they are and personalize treatment to their specific goals and needs. Kristie is directly supervised by Dr. Pamela McCaskill.
Kristie is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. In 2021 she earned her designation of Associate, iaedp Institute on Eating Disorders, and in 2024 iaedp granted her the designation of Certified Eating Disorder Specialist.
