Alison Cooney, MS, RDN, CSSD, LD, is a Registered Dietitian with a strong background in clinical nutrition, counseling, and patient-centered care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences and a Master's degree in Clinical Dietetics from Grand Valley State University.
Alison has worked with diverse populations, with a particular focus on collegiate nutrition. She has provided individualized counseling, developed tailored meal plans, and implemented Intuitive Eating workshops to support students in fostering a healthier relationship with food.
As a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, Alison brings advanced expertise in managing complex nutrition needs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams—skills that enhance her compassionate, holistic approach to eating disorder recovery. Through her leadership in the Eat to Excel sports nutrition program, she emphasizes nutrition education, mindful eating practices, and body trust—key components in sustainable recovery.
